Opinions can vary. That is actually a benefit. Your experience is likely different from mine. Combining the two leads to the old adage; "2 heads are better than 1".
How we choose to talk with each other is what really matters. Regarding one another with respect is a good place to start. Choosing words of inclusion, words that can create a serious dialog without picking up emotions, catching aspersions and taking sides is the way to go.
And you, the faithful reader, understand that. Please spread the word. Get your neighbors and Franklin friends out to vote on November 8th. Share the collection of election information with them. If you find candidate websites that are not already listed, please let me know so they can be added.
Monday night in the Town Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Bldg will be the candidate forum. Sponsored by the Town of Franklin, Dean College, the Milford Daily News and the United Regional Chamber of Commerce candidates for the contested election will be asked questions. The event will be broadcast via the cable channels (Comcast and Verizon) and via webcast. It will be available on demand after the event in case you miss it. I will be there to report on it as it happens.
